Ashden Awards

Established in 2001, the Ashden Awards are globally recognised as a mark of excellence in the field of green energy. Ashden awards enterprises and programmes that are tackling climate change and that promote a fair transition through innovation with the potential for huge impact. The awards are seeking solutions ready to scale that contribute to decarbonisation, the reduction of inequality or positively contributing to social justice issues. We favour solutions that encourage participation and democratisation and deliver increasing resilience to climate and economic impacts.In 2020, there are 10 awards expected, seven with an international focus (including Energy Access Policy, Planning & Finance; Energy Access Finance or Business Model Innovation; and Sustainable Energy and Livelihoods) and three focused on the UK. The winners will receive prize funds of £10,000 or£20,000 each, depending on which Award they win.
