Nordic Climate Facility

Details

The Nordic Climate Facility finances projects that have a potential to combat climate change and reduce poverty in low-income countries. The Facility is financed and managed by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF). The Nordic Climate Facility (NCF) promotes the transfer of technology, know-how and innovative ideas between the Nordic countries and low-income countries facing climate change. The aim is to increase low-income countries’ abilities to mitigate and adapt to climate change, contribute to sustainable development and alleviate poverty. Grant co-financing. Size of grant: €250K-€500K. The main applicant must be a Nordic institution, organisation, company or authority holding a registered place of operations in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway or Sweden. Multilateral institutions, bilateral financing institutions, aid agencies and development financing institutions or their affiliates are not considered eligible as main applicants. The main applicant shall have one or more eligible local partners in the country or countries of implementation.
