The Charles Mott Foundation supports non profits organizations that are working to strengthen communities around world as well as Flint (Michigan), the Foundation's hometown. Program areas: 1. Civil Society; 2. Education; 3. Environment; 4. Flint Area.Under the Environment agenda operates the "Transforming Development FInance" program that aims to improve transparency, accountability, and social and environmental standards at the international finance institutions that fund major energy and infrastructure projects.The funding is made under two objectives:1. Securing Infrastructure and Energy for a Sustainable Future: It seeks infrastructure and energy investments that contribute to environmental sustainability and offer local economic opportunity.2. Sustainable Regional Development and Integration projects: It seeks international and regional public investments that contribute to local sustainable development, with a focus on South America.
