The Investing In Women in the Blue Economy in Kenya (IIW-BEK) is a five-year programme funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC) and implemented by AECF. The programme seeks to contribute to the economic empowerment of women enterprises, their suppliers, and producers along key supply chains in the Blue Economy in Kenya.
The AECF invites private sector enterprises active in the Blue Economy in Kenya to apply for consideration. The programme will provide performance-based grants and technical assistance to SMEs operating within the selected Blue Economy sector value chains.
Eligible SMEs can apply for grants ranging from USD 50,000 to USD 400,000, depending on the size of the company and the capacity to absorb the funds. The competition guidelines are prescribed in the programme information/ term sheet found on the AECF website.
