Broad support to the market through the internationally-recognized quality assurance program, technical and environmental sustainability research relating to off-grid lighting, and information dissemination through technical notes, webinars and conferences.

The Program is composed of four pillars:1. Finance for clean energy to incubate scalable energy financing models with 18 financial and energy service providers by providing risk capital grants and/or concessional refinancing;2. Technical assistance for clean energy to increase the scale potential of financing models by providing value-added support such as linkages to experts and new value chain partners;3. Knowledge and learning to share widely implementation know-hows and promote customer-centric growth through demand-side research;4. Advocacy and partnerships to co-create ecosystems for scale in partnership with various stakeholders such as Government, investors, and development partners.

Berkeley Energy's operational capabilities are complemented with dedicated financing, legal and structuring professionals with experience in private equity, infrastructure and renewable energy transactions.

Depending on project maturity, these services may span all phases of a project's development:1. Performance of feasibility studies, market studies and technology benchmarks to fine tune your project design2. Analysis and creation of business models / business plans to define your positioning3. Support in pilot project implementation to test your solution in real conditions4. Definition of a scale-up strategy, performance of techno-economic analyses, process management and partner identification for the full-scale roll out your solution / business model5. Environmental and socio-economic impact assessment to add value to your project with potential donors

SECOE is the first training centre of its kind to build capabilities, drive partnerships and bring key decision makers together under a structured programme in the field of clean and renewable energy. It holds seminars, workshops and sharing sessions.
